She was accepted into the Broadcast Communications program and graduated in 1991.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly, she studied alongside future broadcasting stars such as Vancouver TV anchor John Shorthouse, program director Paul Durrani, and TV host Dalton Hooker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Early_Career\"><\/span>Early Career<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the start of her career, Taggart worked in event promotions, organizing concerts and radio advertising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, in 1997, she secured a permanent role in television advertising on a major Vancouver network.
